Long Haul - Day 35 (9/20/21) Rain day #5
We are stuck in Mt. Pleasant for several days as there is a lot of rain in the forecast. Right now it has been raining pretty hard all afternoon. This morning it rained off and on, but it looks like it will be raining pretty hard through Wednesday morning. If that’s the case we won’t head out till Thursday. We needed a day off, but definitely not this many. But what to do?
We knew this morning might be the best chance to get out and do something. We took an Uber to the Old Slave Mart. It is now a museum and was very informative and sad. We also checked out the Old Exchange and Provost Dungeon. The building was full of history and very interesting.
We were back around noon, before the rain started. I guess we will just get lazy and antsy during the next 48 hours.
I think it’s ok to be lazy. You’ll still have days when you won’t be lazy. So, don’t get too antsy! Certainly, there must be a coffee shop somewhere close by!
